| Sen. Salazar Lauds ConocoPhillips Decision to Locate Learning and Tech Centers in Louisville DENVER, CO – Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar released the following statement lauding ConocoPhillips decision to locate their new Global Technology and Corporate Learning centers in Louisville, Colorado. ConocoPhillips recently purchased the 432-acre site from Sun Microsystems. ConocoPhillips has said it plans to bring thousands of employees to the center for training each year and the center will be the company's hub for research and development of renewable energy and high-tech carbon fuels recovery. “I am very pleased
with ConocoPhillips’ decision to locate their learning and technology
centers in Louisville. This decision reinforces Colorado’s reputation
as a trailblazer in our Nation’s quest for renewable energy and recognizes
the abundant intellectual resources and potential that exist in Colorado,
such as NREL and the Colorado Collaboratory who do important work to
expand renewable energy opportunities everyday. The location of this
center in Colorado will bring great minds from across the country and
the world to our state and will continue to make us a hub for renewable
energy research and development.”
