WASHINGTON, DC – Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar welcomed this year’s recipient of the Colorado Department of Education’s (CDE) Award for Colorado Teacher of the Year, Seth Berg, to his U.S. Senate Office in Washington, DC. At their meeting, Senator Salazar congratulated Mr. Berg, a Math and Science Teacher at Telluride High School, for receiving this highly coveted honor and thanked him for the positive impact he has had on his students and his community as a whole.

“Mr. Berg’s commitment to his students and to his profession truly make him a worthy recipient of this award,” Said Senator Salazar. “I congratulate him on this wonderful distinction, and thank not only him, but teachers across the nation as well for the important contributions they have made to our communities.”
