Sen. Salazar Salutes Communications Director Cody Wertz on New Venture DENVER, CO – United States Senator Ken Salazar today announced that long-time Communications Director Cody Wertz is taking a position with GBSM, Inc., the Denver-based management, strategic communications and public affairs consulting firm. Cody and his wife are also expecting their first child in September. Cody’s last day in the office will be Friday, June 6. “I salute Cody Wertz for his stellar efforts as my Communications Director. Through his energy, insight and commitment, Cody has made a huge difference for the people of Colorado. I consider him to be like a son, and I wish the very best for him and Mary Ann as he begins this new venture.” Cody was one of the three people hired immediately after then Attorney General Salazar announced his candidacy for the United States Senate in March 2004. Senator Salazar will announce his new Communications Director in the coming days. ###
