Sen. Salazar Lauds Agreement on Long-term Vision for U.S. 36 Corridor WASHINGTON, DC – Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar released the following statement regarding the agreement reached between agency and corridor representatives of the U.S. 36 Corridor Preferred Alternative Committee on the U.S. 36 Corridor environmental impact statement (EIS). "I am pleased
that all parties, through an open and deliberative process, were able
to reach an agreement on the long-term vision for the U.S. 36 Corridor.
It represents an important step in our efforts to improve motor vehicle
lanes, bus transit and bike paths in an increasingly busy transportation
corridor in the Denver Metro area, and as such, has my full support." ###
